Fortnite is the King of Twitch Streaming
The number of views on video-game live-streaming service Twitch is a expert barometer for how popular a game is at the current moment, and no game is enjoying more widespread popularity right now than Fortnite.
According to Gamoloco, which aggregates viewership information on live-stream gaming platforms, Fortnite dwarfed the competition with a total of 126.47 million hours of viewed content in June 2022. The second near popular game was League of Legends with 72.25 million hours of Twitch streaming.
Other popular games on Twitch in June included Dota 2, IRL, Hearthstone, Overwatch, and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG). Fortnite's massive popularity even led the PUBG Corporation to file a (now withdrawn) lawsuit confronting Fortnite programmer Epic Games alleging copyright infringement of its Battle Royale format.
